Fried Okra! This is the last pickin's from my Daddy's garden that he so graciously shared with us! Umm! Umm! Ain't nothin' better than a pot of Beans, Fried Okra, Buttered Potatoes and a big skillet of Cornbread... throw in some Cucumber/Onion salad and that's a feast very few of we Hausman's can resist. This is a DELIGHTFUL meal to us! :)

Laura, your okra looks absolutely wonderful and makes me want some NOW! You did a nice job frying it, it looks so pretty and colorful in the skillet. Daddy is already getting seed catalogs and dreaming of next year's garden, with 5 inch of snow, the worst ice storm remembered in these parts and then 7 more inches of snow. Some where down there is the soil that he so carefully tends. One thing nice, his black rasberry vines were lovely ice covered. :-) Love, from a Tennessee Moma

This looks so good. Along with that apple pie that was on Daryl's b-day post. Miss you all. Phillip
