"Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!"

Our God Is Enough!
Ever wanted another piece of cake and there wasn't enough?!  I'm SO glad that we serve a God that doesn't "run out" but always has enough and MORE than we could ever ask or think, the Bible tells us!  This Yellow Cake with Chocolate Fudge Icing was made my our son Bryan! (thanks to our 1st deputation and the icing recipe from Lisa Bailey!) His 1st cake to bake... ever... but I'm sure it won't be his last,  for the "baking bug" has hit him, big time! I think it may be the "tasting bug" that is really behind all of this, though, for this boy LOVES TO EAT!!!!
We have recently been challenged as a family to TRUST GOD on purpose!  Not to just "say" we trust... but to put our words into practice!  The life of George Meuller has been a great encouragement/challenge to take God at His word!  Trust and draw closer to Him. Not talk about our needs to others.  Just Trust our Heavenly Father and watch Him work!  I am finding Him real!  HE IS INDEED, ENOUGH!
We had brand new believers in our church with us recently.  None-Native-English-Speakers... and a dear Brother at our church started the chorus. "Our God is Enough"
These are the words in case you need a reminder:

"Our God is Enough, He's proved it ore' and ore.
He's never known to fail.
His power still prevails.
Down through the test of time,
God's people always find.
Whatever Life may bring,
God is enough!"
Sitting there beside them,  listening as they processed what the English words were saying... how blessed my heart became as they agreed and quickly said in their broken English, "Yes!!!.. GOD IS ENOUGH!!!!!"  That reality was made it all the more fresh to my soul.  Like we "see" God's creation in our world again through the eyes of a child...whether it be the beauty of a dandelion, or a butterfly, or a little tiny ant crawling on the sidewalk!  So through the eyes of a New Believer we see again our Savior and fall with bended knee and worship Him a new!  "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!"

Very good, post! So true!

Good job, Bryan, your cake looks great! I think that Noah may join you and become a "Chef" like his Grandpa Bud! He LOVES apple pie and was SAD when there weren't any pieces left of the one that Kimberly made the other day. I told him that I was just going to have to teach him how to make one, so that we could have them more often. =)

Love and miss y'all,
~Heather~

Great Job, Bryan! Your Uncle Andrew could run home and put a cake in the oven when unexpected guests came to the parsonage, so guess you will walk in his footsteps in baking as well as hunting. Wish Gramp and I could drop in and have a taste, you know that chocolate is his favorite. Looking forward to seeing you soon. I love you, Gram
