 Happy 16th Birthday Brittany!!!

Brittany's Birthday Week started out with a Daddy/Daughter date! (Yes, Gram...I got to have a birthday week too!!! ;)

We had 1st tasted this restaurant on Deputation years back... so Bob Evans it had to be for her Birthday breakfast with Daddy!!

Spinach, Potato, Omelet in a biscuit bowl: this was Brittany's choice.

Daddy went with something a little more familiar: Blueberry Crepe

For our birthday, Mommy always cooks our "birthday menu". Brittany chose: Company Chicken, Mashed potato's, Candied carrots, Sweet Corn, rolls, and Russian salad.

Later in the week we had a Birthday party,  fun family night with a few of Brittany's friends! (Since we weren't allowed to "call it her Birthday party"=)
We had Pumpkin Chili, and Regular Chili, Homemade French bread, and a fun Recipe for Homemade Focaccia (also an Italian flat bread seasoned with Rosemary and Fresh Parmesan) that I found and a choice of: Chocolate or FunFetti Cupcakes, (which Natasha lovingly made and decorated for her sister) Black Raspberry pie, (thank you Daddy for all of these fresh from your garden) Chocolate chip pie,(which Brittany made herself this time), Pecan pie and ice cream for desert.

The first pie on your left is Brittany's Chocolate Chip Pie (also known as Brown Durby!)  I thought Jesus really helped her!

This picture was taken when Brittany was two at Cades Cove, TN. We got a few weeds flowers to match the flowers that she had picked in her hand. Why Not, they were FREE!!! =)

Brittany's art work of Painting her Pumpkin's WHITE... she loves everything with touches of White!
These Beautiful flowers were a gift from the Becker's for Brittany's party. Thank you so much Becker's for the lovely flowers and for allowing us to use your home as Party place!

These two candles were gifts from the Dickinson's, who couldn't be with us, but were there in spirit and prayers!  Thanks so much, Heather for praying with me, Jesus really helped her party to turn out SO well!
Thank you Dickinson's for the "candles"! They were a BIG hit...especially with the Wegener's! (He wants to talk business with you! ;)

We ended by playing some games. Which really didn't get underway til Brent got home!  Thank you for your service to our country, Brent!  God Bless you, and welcome Home!!!

This is Victor Borge, a piano comedian.
This is especially for Brittany....

And with that happy note...signing off~

Happy Birthday, Brittany!!
I LOVED seeing this blog post! A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!! LOVED IT! Everything from Brittany's pie she made, to the white pumpkins, to Natasha's cupcakes, to the "weeds", to the whole table, to the PRECIOUS PICTURE OF BRITTANY when she was 2 [That I have ALWAYS loved) , to the CUTE pic of her at the top with the umbrella in the covered bridge, and her fun birthday breakfast out with her Daddy...I LOVED everything!! Thanks for posting these pics. It looks like everything turned out BEAUTIFULLY and that all who attended had a great time! =) Glad y'all had a couple birthday candles left...Cute that Bro. Wegener liked our "Colombian Volcano candles". We brought some with us to Arg. for our birthdays coming up. (Mine in just a few days.)
That was so nice of the Beckers to loan y'all their house! Welcome Home, Brent!! =)
Love and miss all of y'all,

Brittany, our family just got to watch the "Victor Borge Happy Birthday" video. We really enjoyed it. I think my favorite version was the 2nd to last. I couldn't hear who it was (for we didn't have a lot of sound on our computer and baby Mary was making noise) but it sounded like something I would play. =)

Love you bunches!

A very special birthday party Oops, I mean a "family fun night" for a very special young lady! A young lady that I remember wanted just "cake and tataes" for her third birthday party! It does not seem that you can really be 16! But the special day is here and gone. May the values that have guided you this far go with you into Womanhood. Live each day for Jesus and there will be no regrets.
I love you, Gram
PS I loved seeing the pictures of you,the kitchen handiwork, center pieces from the painted pumpkins to the field flowers! The umbrella picture was cute . . . was the covered bridge leaking?:-)

Dear Brittany, I forgot to add that I have a patent on that "birthday week thingy." Also I want you to know that this busy Gram took the time to watch that pianoist and it is my goal to be able to play the first rendition of Happy Birthday!
I love you, Gram
