Birthday Boy!

Birthday Boy!
The girls had fun shooting these fun shots of their "cowboy brother" at a park down by the river!  It was a nice sunny, breezy day thank the Lord before all the heat hit us here in Cinci! This boy has loved anything to do with cowboy ever since his grandma started buying him his boots... the "walk" just came with the boots!  We are so thankful that Jesus saw fit to send us a boy too.  Our prayer is that he'll always choose to be "a Man after God's own heart!"  We tell him he's can be whatever... our only stipulation is... it just MUST BE what God calls him to be... cowboy or not... Jesus 1st is our prayer for his life!

Serious Cowboy!
I'm kind partial to all of these pics... this one though I can still see my "little" boy and that's helping my heart!  Though I'm not blind... I can see he's growing up F.A.S.T.!   We don't do a big party every year for the kids... so this year I had planned to do "simple".... NOT... Bryan is nothing about simple! He's Mr. INTENSE to put it mildly and so when he found this Train Cake, he asked if "we" could do that... so here's what we came up with...

His choice as to what the cars should carry.....
and that MUST include a John Deere.....
What train doesn't have tail lights.....
Natasha's Gift was helping to decorate his Train for him.
And of course it had to have a front grill... which he made himself! =)
                                                                       Aerial View!

Darla gave him a cool matchbox car and some candy, which we forgot to get a pic of....
And our main gift to him was....a Bike!
Sometime in early spring this year, Bryan was riding his bike and skidded the tires 1 time too many and blew the back tire... it was a loud noise, which delighted him to pieces... however soon thereafter there were tears for he was devastated as to what to do to get a bike before Camargo camp... cause a boy just can't go to camp-meeting without a bike!!!  we were able to find this "nearly-new" bike on Craigslist for a good price and as you can see from the pic below,.... he was thrilled!!!
Brittany's gift was to make him his John Deere Curtains shown here!

Grandma and Pop-pop's box (above) arrived a day later... but when I warned him that this is how it had to be this year his comment was... "Well, I'd rather that it be "on time"... "But that's okay", I reminded him, "you'll just have a birthday that lasts longer"!!! He had a "birthday week"!!!! He's not sad as you can tell!
Shown here is his main gift from them.... a Christian cowboy kneeling at the Cross with his horse tethered behind him.  We are planning to use Gram and Gramp's $ gift to purchase the leather belt needed to hold his belt buckle!  Thanks everyone for a great birthday!
The Marhon's sent $ and he got to do his own shopping... he's been dreaming about this Lego deal for months... so thanks A. Doreen, Sara and U. Frank for this "Dirt Bike Carrier"... he had it put together in no-time,... humming a tune the entire time... =)  He enjoyed getting to shop for it himself too!

Now off to more needed Haus Projects....

He would love to see Andrew and Ashley's house for I never knew anyone could love John Deere so much! Ashley has ALL John Deere dishes including the canisters and the clock and a cookie jar! A couple of years ago for Christmas, Ashley made Andrew a John Deere blanket and for some reason I can see it fitting right in Brian's room! :) Happy birthday Brian! Laura, your children are making me feel rather old! :)

Happy Birthday to our "little" Bryan! Well you are about to outgrow that "little" but not so fast buddy for this Gram heart is not catching up with you . . . yet!
Three big sisters can't be all bad when I see how they helped get your room in "Deere" shape and produce such a classic cake. (Great Grandpa Bryan would have loved your choice as trains were his delight) They must think you a very special brother. So glad that Daddy could find you another bike. I really enjoyed seeing the photos and want a copy, really soon to place your new one to my sewing room wall of seventeen Grandones. Again, wish that Gramp and I could have been there to share your birthday but Mommy's post made us feel almost there. Love you, little lad, we are so glad that God made you a gift to our family and pray for you to always serve Him. Gram

Happy Birthday, Bryan! This is Aunt Heather...and I'm up early this morning, so Noah hasn't seen your delightful birthday post yet. He'll be very happy to see all of your FUN pics!
I LOVE the pics your sisters took of you down by the river! You look like a nice cowboy. =)
Love your train cake...that is really neat!
LOVE your bike! I'm so HAPPY that Jesus gave you a bike before Comargo camp! Isn't it so SWEET that our Jesus cares about the details of our lives that we care about?!!! =) You'll learn more and more as you get older...that we have the most AWESOME God!!!
Loved all of your gifts! Your room looks so NICE!
Your Mommy's comments brought tears to my eyes. We are SO GLAD that Jesus sent you into our family...and just like your Mommy wrote, we so desire you to be exactly what JESUS wants you to be. If you give Jesus your all, you'll go places and do things you never dreamed of! =)
Sorry we didn't get to wish you a Happy birthday on your special day, we were flying back from Cartagena that day. But...this comment just gives you one more thing to add to your "birthday week!" =)
We love and miss you, Bryan!

Happy birthday, Cowboy!! =) You're sisters did a great job on the pictures, and you and your Mom did a great job on the cake! My "Li'l Guy" loves building with Legos as well. So if your family gets out this way, we'd love to get together!

Happy Birthday, Bryan! I like your cowboy outfit! You make a sharp looking Christian cowboy. Congratulations to you ladies who made the cake. Pretty neat! I'll take a top piece of the "coal" car or the John Deere car. Bryan, we like your new bike; you could probably do some fun tricks on that bike. I'd loved to have seen a picture of the cool car that your nice sister Darla got you. You'll have to show it to us when we come back there some time, but I doubt that there'll be any candy left for us by time we get there. That's okay, because we don't need any more candy, I'm sure. Your grandparents got you some wonderful John Deere toys. By the way, we loved the picture of your room, with your train under your top bunk. Noah and Elijah and I really liked what you got with the money from your U. Frank, A. Doreen, and Sara. Probably my favorite gift that you got was the snazzy cowboy belt buckle with a great message of Christ. The buckle reminded me of my growing up years in Arizona. When I was a boy I sometimes wore a leather belt with a cowboy belt buckle like that but not quite as nice, and I loved wearing it with my cowboy boots. Heather just reminded Noah that we have a real cowboy who support us here on the field from the Arizona church I grew up in. Some time back he got thrown off his horse while rounding up cattle and got pretty banged up. But he's better now. Enough rambling, we hope you have a wonderful birthday week. We love you. Keep serving Jesus with all of your heart.
